Artificial Sweeteners Are NOT Healing Foods

Artificial Sweetners Asparatame, Equal, Nutrasweet Are Not Healing Foods
Stevia, Xylitol Are Safe Alternative Sweetners
This video about the artificial sweetner aspartame, also sold under the brand names nutrasweet and equal, supports the idea that these items are NOT healing foods. Surely as you listen you are gathering some food for thought. Since this blog is about solutions for wellness, I hope you will take the information to heart. It could create a great foundation for a great new view of ways to use healing foods to maintain your health.  Stevia, a long banned natural sweetner has recently been approved by the FDA.  This natural herb is totally safe and many times more powerful than sugar.  So if you use too much, you will find a bitter taste in your mouth.  Xylitol is another safe alternative if you MUST sweeten your food.  According to instructions on the label you should use it just like reguar sugar.  I find it much too sweet used that way, so you will have to experiment with it so that it suits your taste.  One of the advantages of using it , is that it has been found to help strengthen teeth and bones.  Your body will have to adjust to it, as it sometimes causes loose bowels when it is first used.  The effect only lasts for a short period of time and you will soon find it a very satisfactory substitute in baking and cooking recipes, since it is unaffected by heat.
