Chinese Medicine

Systems Perspective
Chinese Medicine is a complex form of holistic health care. Individualism is totally outside this purview. It is based on the idea that all of existence is derived from the TAO-the unknown whole. Energy emanating from the TAO created life, which is expressed in many forms. All of these forms are interdependent, interconnected and interrelated. In other words they are tied together by the energy that flows through them.Health comes from this free flow of energy through interrelated, interactive and interconnected systems,. These systems are like nested Russian dolls, all linked to each other through this energy flow. Each interaction is connected to every other part of the system and produces effects throughout the system. So there is only interdependence, since every action initiates reverberations throughout the rest of creation.Balanced energies produce vibrant, healthy relationships. Consequently, ancient chinese medicine is based on a set of assumptions, which place mutual responsibility for health and wellness in human beings, who are responsible for maintaining energy balance received from the TAO (universe).
